Default E.T. 2: Nocturnal Fears, by Steven Spielberg and Melissa Mathison
Written way back in 1982, too bad it was never turned into a movie. Then again, it might have have tarnished the franchise, so maybe it's for the best. I'm sure Mr. Spielberg had his reasons.
